Already in 2009, this model received a well-deserved and prestigious award for design success in Germany – the Oscar from the Design Award 2010. This award has inspired the Audi design team, allowing them to focus on the next achievements and solutions in the work of designing new models and improving existing ones. Today, the Audi A5 Coupe is a true role model. Its perfect body truly deserves the highest reviews and awards.
Today, the “Audi A5 Coupe” is a continuation of the traditional, classic two-door coupe cars laid down by its predecessors. They all together represent one class – “touring”. Having a significant mass, this car is manufactured in the traditional corporate style of the Audi company. Its body contours demonstrate perfection and elegance, sporty style, and streamlining.

German Design Council
A little about the award itself. The German Design Council is a non-profit organization that has been supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. It periodically selects the best design projects since 1969. To be in the final, it is not enough just to meet all the requirements for the technical and aesthetic perfection of body contours. All presented models should have already received recognition and awards in both national and international competitions, one way or another related to design.
In 2009, the jury had a difficult choice, because they had to consider proposals from 23 nominees. Thus, the Audi A5 Coupe received the award in the Industrial Design category. The official part of the award ceremony itself took place in February 2010.
It must be said that this was the fourth victory for Audi in this important competition. Thus, in past years, such series as “Audi A2”, “Audi A3” and “Audi A4 Avant” won.
