 As it became known, the new Audi A5 model has a powerful engine equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and two clutches. In addition, the Audi RS5 will have a new naturally aspirated engine with more power thanks to a twin-turbo, 500 hp.

Innovative AWD Technology

Another innovation that will be used in this car is the presence of an all-wheel drive system without using a driveshaft in motion. In addition, it will be possible to connect a second axis using electric motors. Light but no less durable materials will be used in the body, which ultimately managed to reduce the car’s weight by about 100 -150 kg.

In the leaked information, it became known that the new Audi A5 will receive a new gadget, previously unavailable in the form of a touchpad, which allows you to enter commands into the onboard computer system. The car will be equipped with economical headlights with LED main lights. A system will be installed to allow you to see in the dark. Traffic safety will be facilitated by the possibility of emergency braking, and an assistant will be placed while driving in city traffic jams.

Audi A5: Powerhouse Details Revealed

This line will be equipped with a set of power units, which will include gasoline-powered 2.0 TFSI engines with a power of 177 and 225 hp. In addition, they will be equipped with 2 and 3-liter diesel engines with output power of 197 and 272 hp. respectively.

Audi A5 equipped with a hybrid version of the engine will also be produced. As it became known, the new model will have quite good autonomy when driving on electric traction. By choosing this mode, the driver can travel about 50 kilometers. The power plant will be assembled from a 225-horsepower gasoline engine and a 65-horsepower electric motor.

The use of a three-liter TFSI engine, S5 modifications, will not be subject to special modifications. Unless the power will increase from the current 333 to approximately 340 hp. But for the naturally aspirated V8, hidden under the hood of the RS5, it is used for the last time. It is being replaced by a new twin-turbo engine with more power.

The car will be equipped with an 8-speed gearbox with two clutches, designed for use in more powerful Audi A5 models.
