The new front-end design features redesigned Keen Look headlights with integrated daytime running lights available as standard on all trim levels. The lower part of the X frames the front grille. The stylistic accent emphasizing the lower edge of the headlights can be finished in black or silver. The rear is decorated with new LED daytime running lights with a recognizable shape.

Further modernizations…

The updated 1.0-liter VVT-i unit has a new dual fuel injector system, higher compression ratio, several new low-friction components, cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), and an improved counterbalance shaft to reduce vibrations at idle. The engine power has been increased to 72 HP (53 kW) at 6,000 rpm, and the torque is 93 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 13.8 seconds (0.4 seconds faster) and accelerates to 160 km/h.
Average fuel consumption for the standard version has been reduced from 4.1 to 3.9 l/100 km (NEDC), which translates into 5 g/km lower CO2 emissions, now 90 g/km. The new AYGO also has an improved suspension and optimized control system software, which increases the speed and precision of the car’s response to the driver’s actions. Driving comfort is also improved by additional insulating materials in the dashboard, front pillars, doors, and trunk lid.

Toyota Safety Sense

Toyota AYGO is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense suite of active safety systems, which prevents collisions or limits their consequences in many different driving situations. The Pre-Collision System (PCS) detects other vehicles in front of the car and, in the event of a collision, warns the driver and increases braking force, if the driver fails to react, it activates automatic emergency braking, which reduces the speed by 30 km/h. The system operates in the speed range of 10-80 km/h. A Lane Departure Alert (LDA) helps prevent a frontal collision or a vehicle from cutting into an adjacent lane. The system detects white and yellow road markings. When the vehicle begins to leave its lane without the turn signal on, the system warns the driver with an acoustic and visual signal.
