The latest remap from global leader Superchips gives the UK’s family favourite, the Ford Focus 1.6TDCi, extra performance while at the same time, helping to cut fuel bills by providing potential savings in fuel cost thanks to improvements in fuel economy.
One of the UK’s most popular family wagons, the Ford Focus, using the 115PS 1.6-litre TDCi turbo diesel engine from March 2011 onwards, is the latest vehicle to come under the Superchips microscope. The company carried out its traditional development process, using its in-house expertise and state-of-the-art rolling road to release an additional 21bhp at 4192rpm and 44Nm of torque at 2506rpm.
Perhaps of equal importance with today’s fuel prices however, is the potential for drivers to see an improvement in fuel consumption, of up to 7%, comparing like-for-like driving styles between the original and remapped engines.
